Google takes a stab at traffic reports for city streets

Kind of interesting how Google uses Google Maps on smart phones to show traffic speeds and congestion of a roadway. I wonder if you had 2 people in the same area with Google Maps on their phones and are walking 4 to 8 blocks if it would completely fuck up the data and detour people from taking that rout to work.
